NR-1 · Psychosocial risks

09:00 Morning

Health at work is management, too.

Brazil’s NR-1 regulation (Norma Regulamentadora 1, issued by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, MTE) now explicitly includes psychosocial risk factors in Occupational Risk Management (GRO). Compliance is only the starting point. A healthy workplace depends on how the company organizes work, how leaders lead and how people relate to one another.

Let’s talk about NR-1 at my company (opens WhatsApp)

09:15 Morning

The risk is not in people. It is in how work is done.

The regulation looks at work, not at each person’s health. Psychosocial risk factors stem from how work is organized and managed day to day. Some examples cited by the Ministry of Labor:

Alongside your team, not in its place.

The risk inventory and the action plan in the Risk Management Program (PGR) are the responsibility of occupational safety and health professionals. RUMOS360 works on the root causes these documents point to: management, leadership, communication and culture.

With your OSH team

  • Identifying and assessing risks
  • Recording them in the PGR and the risk inventory
  • Action plan and formal follow-up

Real prevention

With RUMOS360

  • Culture and climate diagnostics
  • Leaders prepared for psychological safety and difficult conversations
  • Clear communication about roles, goals and change
  • Talks and workshops on mental health at work
  • Follow-up and indicators of what has changed

How we support prevention

The three PAC movements, applied to health at work.

09:45 Morning

  1. 01

    Understand

Read the culture, the climate and the way work gets done to see where overload, conflict and lack of clarity begin.

  2. 02

    Align

Prepare leaders and teams to act on those causes: clear agreements, difficult conversations held in time, well-managed change.

  3. 03

    Perpetuate

Turn care into routine, with practices and indicators that keep working after the project ends.

  1. Can your leaders recognize signs of overload in their teams?
  2. Does everyone know clearly what is expected of them?
  3. Is there a safe way to raise a problem without fear?
  4. Were the latest changes explained before they happened?
  5. Does the company measure its climate, or only notice when someone leaves?
